The High-Impact Weather Assessment Toolkit (HIWAT) is now operational.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasts for one of the most densely populated regions in the world and they’ve recently partnered with NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center to develop a web-based tool that will aid in more precise weather forecasts. HIWAT incorporates satellite data and local observations into a suite of forecast products that make it easier to access a wide variety of weather information in a single location.
