The new iMet-4 radiosonde has completed a series of intercomparison flights against the current iMet-1 sonde. The tests have demonstrated that iMet-1 users can seamlessly upgrade to the new sonde without any data continuity issues.
Commercial production of the iMet-4 will begin in the third quarter of 2017.
